Christmas Pew Reservations 2020

(Before reserving a pew, make sure you read this entire page)

Due to the high positivity rate of COVID-19 in Dubuque County, Fr. Diehm and the Liturgy Committee, in order to be CDC compliant, have created this pew reservation plan for all Christmas Eve and Christmas Day Masses.  All people who are interested in attending one of the Masses are required to reserve a pew prior to the Masses.  Any person who has not reserved a pew using this pew reservation sign-up system will not be seated for the Christmas Masses and will be required to leave.  While this is far from an ideal situation and one that pains Father and the Liturgy Committee, it is necessary for the safety of our communities as well as being legally compliant by having a maximum person count of 50% capacity.  Also, masks are required to be worn during the entire Mass (with the exception of Communion) for all those attending.

This Christmas Pew Reservation system is open from November 21st through December 17th.

When reserving a pew, pay close attention to the number of people who can sit in a pew.  Do not exceed the number of people who can sit in a pew.  If you know a family (or person) who does not have internet access but you feel are planning on attending one of the Christmas Masses, print the seating charts, have them choose a pew, and you sign them up if possible.  Please keep family sizes in mind.  For instance, if your family consists of 3 people, do not reserve a pew that seats 8 people.  You may not be attending a Mass in the church you would normally attend but we all need to think of ourselves as God's family and not as individuals.  There will be ushers at each Mass who will ask your name and which pew you have reserved.  You will, then, be seated in your reserved pew.

A Christmas Mass is being pre-recorded and will be available on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.  More information about the Mass will be shared on this website (home page) as well as in the bulletin.  This could be a wonderful opportunity for you and your family to pray together and celebrate Mass in the comfort of your home.

The following people have graciously volunteered to reserve a pew for you when you call them.  Remember, pews can only be reserved if they are available.
